**I am what you call an Actioneer. Not because I’m ambitious enough to take action or anything like that…but because I’m part of the Action Wipe ambassador program. Basically they send me some Action Wipes to try out, I tried to get as dirty and stinky as possible and then put the Action Wipes to the test. I didn’t pay for the wipes but that won’t keep me from being honest about my review!**

I’m not necessarily the cleanest person you’ll ever meet. Not because I don’t know how to clean myself, but because I tend to spend a lot of time getting dirty. There is nothing clean and sparkly about trail running, backcountry camping, lunch break runs, sleeping in your car or driving halfway across the country. Sometimes showers aren’t available or are extremely impractical. You could just embrace the stink but if you want to keep your friends I’d highly recommend spending 2 minutes wiping down with Action Wipes!

Prior to this opportunity with Action Wipes I kept a random array of wet wipes and sticks of deodorant stashed in my car and gym bag. They seemed to get the job done but then the Action Wipes arrived and I realized what I was missing out on. They didn’t make me smell like a baby’s powdered bottom [baby wipes] or like a dying flower [deodorant applied to a sweaty body] and the multi-pack didn’t dry out!

I received two resealable multi-packs and a whole slew of single wipe packages. I put them both to good use and – surprise, surprise – have some opinions and I’m going to share them!

Where did I take the Action Wipes?

Oh, the places we went together! I have definitely gotten used to have the Action Wipes readily available for pretty much every occasion that gets me a little dirty and stanky!

- my run bag for lunch runs in Cheyenne
- to Buena Vista for legitimate Forester camping before the Collegiate Peaks 25M
- winter camping at Geneva Basin
- to the Palmer Lake 24 Hour Fun Run
- in my Ultimate Direction Jenny pack during the Quad Rock 50M
- down the canyon for backpacking in Canyonlands National Park

What did I think of the Action Wipes?

Overall, I love the concept and they did their job! They kept me clean, were easy to tote around, didn’t dry out my skin and kept me feeling fresh even when I wasn’t. They had a unique eucalyptus scent which I wasn’t in love with but it literally vanishes after your skin dries.

If I could change anything about these wipes it would be the size. They are large – somewhere between a washcloth and a hand towel. If you’re doing a full “wipe shower” it’s a good size, but if you’re just wiping down your face in at a rest stop in the-middle-of-no-where Nebraska at 2am the wipes are too large. I have actually used half of a wipe then strategically stuffed is back in the individual package to re-use later. Making the wipes smaller would be really useful for daily use.

So, there you have it – my experiences using Action Wipes and my opinions about them. Am I going to buy more when I run out of the ones they gave me? Probably! They are a little pricey [just under $1/wipe if you do the math] but I’m pretty sure everyone around me would appreciate it if I kept my stank at bay and the Action Wipes do the trick!
