When people wanted to track my progress during the RRR100 I decided to use the #runabler hashtag to pull all the updates together – it kept my mom in the loop and gave Heather quick access to comments from the internet that she shared with me while she was pacing me. Plus, it’s kind of an awesome work – you combine run with abler and boom, you get a runabler. And that’s exactly what everyone at the race and online was doing for me – they were enabling my running! I kind of fell in love with the word and have been using it for the past few months. It’s just such a fun work and a rather unique hashtag.

I’ve also been told I’m a bit of a runabler for others. I’m not taking any credit for good advice or anything like that, I’m no expert. However, I am rather persistent and I can find an excuse to do [or not do…] just about anything. I like to consider those little skills of mine to be qualities…qualities that I just might use to talk you into running a race that’s a bit further or harder or upness-er than you’re used to. And if I talk you into something you better believe I’ll be there to see you suffer…and succeed! So, yea, I guess I am a bit of a runabler.

It’s actually a ton of fun being a runabler. You get to encourage friends to do make insane goals and then you get to watch them do amazing things! And you can’t just convince them sign up for a race and then abandon them to do all the training alone…you get to train with them, suffer with them, learn with them. That’s my favorite part. It’s like a built in run buddy you get to play on the trails with! Life is more fun!

And why am I telling you about this?! Because I am really excited to announce the kick-off of #runabler…as a legit hashtag with an Instagram account and #runabler website! Yup, this is real and I truly believe it’s going to be a lot of fun to see everyone share their photos and stories.

More importantly – you can be part of this. Actually, I’m asking you to be part of it! Use #runabler on your Instagram photos – past, present and future – to show off your runs and get regrams to the #runabler account. Check out the #runabler website and share you stories – either on the site our in the comments below – to be included in the list of stories shared on the site. Spread the word on the channels you use, get others involved and…be an runabler!

Get outside. Run happy. Chase goals. Take photos. Tag #runabler. Be featured. Motivate others. Be awesome.

This goes beyond the internet. You don’t need to be connected to be a stellar runabler – encourage your friends to do crazy things, help them reach their goals, run with them or get them to run with you, get excited about your runs, take stunning photos and share it with the world! Seriously, this enter #runabler kick-off is about getting people outside in running shoes finding their smiles!

Oooh, I didn’t know there was a website; I thought it was just the Instagram. Now I have another place to waste my time. 🙂
